Welcome to L-Training - About the In Car Video system

The In-Car Video System is a digital camera system that records high quality video to standard VHS cassettes.I The camera records events as they happen and lets you review events both in the car, and in the comfort of your home without the normal pressures of traffic around you.

It is a unique teaching aid that helps you understand how you drive and react to the pressures building around you.

This system enables the instructor to rewind to any event and replay an incident to you, whilst giving advice on how else you could have dealt with the situation and can help speed up the learning process. Self assessment will help encourage faster learning and can save you money in reducing the number of lessons needed.

Your mock driving test can also be filmed allowing your instructor to point out any errors whilst you watch it again.

Endorsed by Driving Instructor's trade associations, and approved by the Driving Standards Agency.

How the video system works:

Three cameras are situated inside the car to record exactly what happens during the lesson. The instructor can choose to record a panoramic view of the road ahead, behind the car or an internal view of what the driver is doing at the wheel.
The system also includes a VHS video recorder, a microphone for sound and a 6 inch colour monitor for instant playback. This enables the driving instructor to playback situations that he/she wishes to highlight to the pupil during their lesson, and records the images onto standard video cassettes.

Each pupil has their own individual tape, which is inserted at the beginning of the lesson and starts recording straight away. All tapes are provided free of charge.

Pupils can then play back their recorded lesson at home for further revision and studying. This is especially useful for Hazard Awareness training.

Also an excellent way of showing your friends and family your progress towards becoming a driver and gaining your driving licence.  It can also help parents to understand the way you are learning to drive, which can help them if they take you out to practice between lessons.

The video system can help save you money by
helping you to pass your driving test sooner.

A recent survey said that statistics show, by watching a training tape you will
take in up to 40% of the information but when watching yourself on tape,
you will take in between 70 – 75% of the information.
