Jeff Williams - Approved Driving Instructor

Jeff was born in London at an early age and lived for 18 years in Abbey Wood, South East London, until he joined the RAF spending several years overseas. During his service he learnt to drive and took and passed the Police driving test and also became an advanced driver.

Jeff first qualified in 1983 in Dartford and started as an independent instructor under the name Ashford Institute of Driving. His clients benefited from a higher than average pass rate for several years.

For a few years following the untimely death of his father in the late 80's, Jeff ran the family insurance business until his mother retired, and life as a driving instructor called again!

Due to the time spent away from the instructing profession Jeff re-trained and studied modern methods of driver training, re-qualifying in Folkestone. 

In fact he is now training sons and daughters of clients he had almost 20 years ago!!

After some time working with 2 national driving schools, Jeff joined The Big Red L Company in February 2005, and really feels that Driving Instructing is the best job in the world.

Jeff adds, "I have trained and qualified as a Fleet Driver Trainer enabling me to offer Occupational Driver Training to Company Car and Van drivers
I am also planning to start an NVQ level 3 course next year to enable me to offer more benefits in teaching methods to my clients, who already have an extremely high pass rate. (Almost double the national pass rate)."

Jeff is also pleased to offer Theory Test preparation with on board computer and video system.
